Cades Cove Methodist Church

Oil Painting - "Cades Cove Methodist Church" -  in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It includes two doors: a separate entrance for men and women, per Methodist custom of the time. The churchyard cemetery, meanwhile - among the oldest in Cades Cove - harbors more than 100 graves. The congregation can be dated back to 1830, with the first Methodist circuit riders visiting the cove.
