Painting - "Le Conte in August" - "I recently returned to paint at a favorite spot on the east end of Sevier County for the first time in two years. It offers a beautiful, year-round view of Mt. LeConte.
During this visit, I could hear construction happening nearby on the next hill. While I understand that the view belongs to everyone and progress is inevitable, the changes can be difficult to witness. Ultimately, I hope these changes make my painting of the landscape feel even more precious.
