Painting - "In the Shade" - It was so hot at the Oaks Lily Farm in Corryton, TN, that once I found a shaded spot, I didn't want to move. I initially thought the canvas I brought was too large for this piece, but it actually encouraged me to paint more loosely as I watched my shade begin to disappear. (Painting all over and hardly taking a breath) the painting moves through the day lilies just like the sunshine and soft hot breeze.
