"White Oaks Utopia"
"White Oaks Utopia" - painted at a private cabin in Townsend, TN. It was a perfect day filled with blooming dogwoods and cows under the Little Mountain across the street. As people drove home and picked up their mail, they waved because they recognized what a beautiful scene it was.

"Spot On"
"Although I hoped for some solitude, the area was quite busy with park crews working and visitors searching for bears.
Despite the distractions, the wild blue phlox along the river was beautiful in the shade, and I watched the swallowtails follow the light. When I finally stepped back from my work, the painting seemed to disappear into the landscape—it was 'Spot On'."

"Push Me Higher"
I first encountered this swing set view a week ago while painting in Townsend, TN. The scene remained on my mind, leaving an impression of a sweet surprise or a thoughtful afterthought. This was the second piece I completed that day.
The work evokes memories of my daughter visiting the lake in Kentucky—a place that represents pure happiness and freedom and her saying, “Push me Higher”.

"John's Prized Collection"
"John’s Prized Collection" of irises is an experience felt much like being surrounded by his friends and family, as he shared the stories of their origins and the individuals who gifted them to him.
His dedication to the garden reminds me of both my own family and Monet in his garden; there is clearly much more to the collection than meets the eye.
I started painting in the shade and ended in the sun and somewhere in the middle the wind cranked up."
