When you are in Gatlinburg, stop by the Adkins Rollman Gallery for Great Original Art and Fun Oil Painting Lessons!
Adkins Rollman Gallery will be participating in a new art lessons program this year! Artisans in the Great Smoky's Arts and Crafts Community offer classes at anytime during the year. This is in response to the Hands On Gatlinburg program being enhanced.
We at Adkins Rollman Gallery have John Adkins who teaches oil painting by appointment or upon request Plein Air Painting Lessons on location outdoors in the area. These classes are available by appointment in 3 hour time periods on Mondays or any day in the Gallery after 4:00 pm. Come let John show you how to fall in love with painting and develop the skills and techniques needed to make this a lifetime hobby or a passion.
Classes are $30.00 an hour and everything you need will be provided. Schedule a time and just show up. John will provide all that you need to complete a painting in one 3 hour lesson, or you can do a several session course to complete your work of art.
It's so much fun and relaxing to be creative. Learn a new skill set and enjoy finding your ability to go beyond stick figures and Christmas tree shapes. John will teach you the 5 different shapes that you use to draw anything, perspective drawing, color theory, and how to handle a brush and make correct brush strokes.
