This May 1 - May 31, 2026 - The Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Community Celebrates Creativity for Everyone through the "Hands On Gatlinburg 2026" event!
"Hands On Gatlinburg 2026" is an annual, month-long event in May (May 1-31, 2026) featuring immersive arts and crafts workshops in the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community. Multiple studios offer unique hands-on classes like painting, jewelry making, pottery, woodworking, and other crafts, allowing visitors to create their own treasures under expert guidance.
Adkins Rollman Gallery will be taking part in "Hands On Gatlinburg", once again, by offering fun Painting Lessons to individuals and groups!
Our Plein Air Oil Artist, John Adkins, will meet with you and / or your group, family, friends ... to offer fun and creative Oil Painting Lessons while you are in Gatlinburg and enjoying the Arts & Crafts Community.

The lessons are for the beginner, who has never picked up a paint brush to the professional painter who wants a new and unique experience!
John Adkins will offer Painting Lessons, by appointment, for 3-hour time periods based upon your / your group’s schedule. Lessons are $40.00 an hour and everything you need will be provided for you. You just need to show up and enjoy a fun and creative experience!

You will need to contact John Adkins in advance at (256) 738-7569, directly by phone, so that he can assist you in setting up the best time and gather more information to provide the best experience for you.
It's so much fun and relaxing to be creative. John will teach you skills that include the five different shapes that you use to draw anything, perspective drawing, color theory, and how to handle a brush and make correct brush strokes. Walk away with a great memory and your very own creation!

COME GIVE ART A CHANCE TO CAPTURE YOU!!!! For appointment call John at (256) 738-7569 to set up a time. Appointments ONLY AVAILABLE BY PHONE CONNECTION WITH JOHN.
Due to small class sizes and high demand, booking classes early is recommend as they often fill up quickly.
